A string of four straight hits is what the Air Max flagship has established since the introduction of the fully-uncaged Air Max unit with the Air Max 2009, so while the ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ proverb certainly fit here, maybe it’s time for a slight remodel? The Air Max 2013 may bring just that, as we get a first look at next year’s Air Max flagship model in four colorways. A slightly redesigned outsole with deep grooves at the forefoot and an exposed unit at the midfoot comprises the new Air Max 2013 Max Air unit, while the upper combines the no-sew upper with exposed Dynamic Flywire acting as the lockdown stabilizer. This particular model of the Air Max 2013 is the Air Max 2013 EXT, which likely denotes some level of outdoor capability or durability, so perhaps the base model of the 2013 will feature the same Max Air unit from the 2009-2012? Check out all four colorways below and stay tuned for more updates on this Spring 2013 release. Photos: CK
