The Jordan Brand #RiseAbove Documentaries continues with #RiseAbove Isolation, focusing on a story of a Chinese tour-guide who fortuitously stumbled upon a remote village in the middle of the mountains during one of his hikes. A surprising discovery of a basketball hoop in this poor village led him to explore the villager’s passion for the game, but an unfortunate injury during a game of pick-up ball forced him on the sidelines. It was then that the village healers took care of him and nursed him back to health, so the tour-guide repaid the village with a brand new basketball court by providing the materials, and the villagers chipped in to refurbish the dilapidated court. Three years later, the villagers continue to play basketball on a daily basis while keeping the game at the center of many of the village’s celebrations, proving that the game of basketball isn’t confined to a gym or a metropolitan city.
