The Converse Block Party made its inaugural splash at the World Basketball Festival in Washington D.C. as Converse set up shop at the Banneker Community Center with live performances by The Dream and Stalley as well as a ton of other goodies for those who attended. The Block Party now moves to Philadelphia this Saturday, August 4th at 52nd St. and Market St., where Stalley and two artists on the Converse Rubber Tracks label will perform live for the crowd. Also available for attendees is the opportunity to customize Converse t-shirts, sample local food, participate in pick-up basketball games, and check out the new Converse Pro Leather Collection at the world renown UBIQ. Prior to this Saturday’s Block Party is a special in-store event at UBIQ with special guests Stalley and Julius ‘Dr. J’ Erving. If you’re in the Philly area, be sure to check out the Block Party this Saturday as well as the special event at UBIQ on Friday night.
