Not since the Nike SFB debuted have we seen another sneaker positioned as combat ready.  And while this instance is more of a theme than true battlefield footwear, the imagery behind the forthcoming Blackrainbow x Puma R698 collection is indeed quite compelling.  This is the first time we’ve seen a military-themed collab go all the way with putting the shoe on a battledress’d soldier, a visual presentation that echoes the earthy colorways at play on the original R698 Jogger and its newly revealed LTWT update.  These hit BKRW in Paris next Saturday, April 6th with a wider release to follow on Friday the 12th, and you can see more images and a video of the photoshoot after the jump below.
