Sneaker News last profiled an El Cappy Air Jordan custom job about three weeks ago, when he applied the soon-to-return ‘Grape’ AJ5 look to that silhouette’s sequel. His latest sticks with the Air Jordan VI as a canvas, but instead of the previous season’s standout colorway, this theme is focused squarely on the end of the 1990-91 campaign. This ’91 Champ’ custom celebrates a sequence of achievements starting with the regular season record that secured the Chicago Bulls home court advantage in the Eastern Conference with this highly detailed gilded design based on the first of His Airness’ six NBA Championship Rings.
