It seems that the Nike Air Max Hyperposite has been shelved for good, with the sudden “Area 72” version being the last known release of this underrated silhouette. One of the big topics of our NBA Feet retrospective feature was the sea of Hyperposite PEs that touched the hardwood floor, and today we’re getting a nice look at a sweet “Iridescent” version that Rudy Gay wore during his time with the Grizzlies. With the “Invisibility Cloak”-like exterior and a Memphis yellow outsole, there’s no doubt that this version would’ve been as popular as the more notable ones to have released, but as mentioned before, the Hyperposite appears to be a done deal for now. We’ve got a nice high-def gallery below so give it a look and let us know if you’d like to see more Hyperposites hit retail.
