adidas has got a Rookie of the Year on their hands once again, and you can bet they’re celebrating with a sneaker release. The Three Stripes will release the adidas Real Deal “Damian Lillard Rookie of the Year” edition on May 23rd, with just 510 pairs being produced and doled out to Compound in Portland, OR, Shoe Palace in Oakland, CA, and adidas’ online store. The sneakers feature Damian’s Twitter handle and plenty of callouts to his Oakland origins, with the selected retailers for the launch obviously connecting the dots between his California upbringing and his current Oregon home.
