The adidas Originals Rivalry has returned with several colorways in 2013 after the original lowtop styles from 1986 released last year. The hightop version has settled in on a pleasing monochromatic makeup in a couple of colors for this season, while the Rivalry Lo comes through with a new style reminiscent of one of the teams represented in that aforementioned OG duo. Black, red and white will always be associated with the Chicago Bulls, and this one takes it a level further with the red appearing in a glossy patent leather. These have an interesting crest on the tongue, set off by ‘GIOIA’, which translates to joy or enjoyment in Italian, which fairly accurately describes the sensation you’ll feel upon lacing up a new pair you copped straight from adidas.
