East meets West once again, as Converse has teamed up for a fifth collection with CLOT. The special capsule consists of two pairs (one in blue suede and another in white canvas) of the Converse Chuck Taylor 1970, that silhouette that was built with full intention of maintaining the earlier shape and bulk of the shoe. The theme in place is one that pulls from the traditional Chang Pao Chinese garments that dates back to the Qing Dynasty, in which the influence can be spotted most prominently via the three Chang-Pao looking buttons fastened to the upper on the lateral side with gold, silver, and white accents. The CLOT x Converse “Chang Pao Collection” is scheduled for a release on Thursday, October 31 at the exclusive Juice Pop-Up store in Los Angeles at 7667 Melrose Ave, followed by the likes of Juice in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taipei, and Kuala Lumpur and at select Converse First String retailers across the globe. A preview of both shoes is right here, so take a look and stay tuned for more updates on this legendary collaboration. Photos:
