Is the original form of the New Balance MT580 all but retired? We saw it in Elite Edition form for the recent ‘Barbershop Pack’, but all of the releases since and most before it in recent months have featured the REVlite cushioning update. These newest pairs present a bit of intrigue as well, as they come with the classic ‘580’ tongue tags, whereas the REVlite editions have said as much, and with embroidery directly on the tongue mesh. Flip them over, though, and the new midsole material’s logo is stamped on the bottom, which confirms a variety of branding techniques can be used on this MRT580.
