A Recap of the Nike KD 7 Launch Event at DC’s Newseum

One year ago, Nike invited Sneaker News to experience the official launch event for the KD 6 at the Seat Pleasant Rec Center, situated at the heart of Kevin Durant’s hometown. After one successful year of sneaker releases, it was time to move forward to the new model, and earlier today, we were again part of the select media group to attend the official launch of the Nike KD 7. The special occasion took place at the Newseum in Washington D.C., with Kevin Durant, Nike Design Director Leo Chang, and host Ahmad Rashad, and during the half-hour block, we caught a first look at several new KD 7 colorways, the new “The Baddest” commercial, and much more.

Before we get into the exclusive looks at the upcoming KD 7 releases, the interviews with designer Leo Chang and with Kevin Durant, and other info about the sneakers, take a look at a first-hand recap of the event at the Newseum and stay tuned for more exclusive coverage of the official Nike KD 7 launch.
