Vans has done a fine job at branching out of skate and into other action sports in the genre. Surfing is as much “California” as skating is, so the brand’s foray into the water sport was all too natural when it first came to light. Years later, Vans has built a fine roster of athletes in that wing, like Leila Hurst, who can celebrate the release of her designs. These three women’s models include the Sk8-Hi Slim, the Solana, and the Rhea designed with geometric patterns and shapes inspired by her travels around the world.
