adidas Basketball Unveils Two Chicago-Inspired Colorways of the D Rose 5 Boost

Adidas Chicago Inpsired D Rose 5 Boost November Releases 01

Derrick Rose is back, but he never left Chicago throughout his time rehabbing from consecutive years plagued by injury. Born and raised in the Windy City, D Rose returned with the lucky bounce of a ping pong ball in the 2008 NBA Draft and now the three stripes are paying homage to his hometown with two brand new adidas D Rose 5 Boost colorways for late November. The first pair dubbed the “Chicago Ice” is an homage of Lake Michigan’s ominous effect on the city during the legendary cold winters thanks to a black upper accented by an icy teal outsole. Then there’s the “Woven Blues” aesthetic, as the D Rose 5 ditches the normal mesh upper for an entirely new material as the obsidian base is a representation of the 20th Century blues artists that flocked to the city in search of a new start. (The orange lining is a nice mirror of the Chicago Bears’ uniforms too). As always, we have a full set of official images for you after the click and know that the “Chicago Ice” D Rose 5 Boost will be available exclusively at adidas retailers and Foot Locker on November 24th while the “Woven Blues” drop November 26th.
