While its younger sibling, the adidas Tubular, continues to shine in its image like a chip off the old block, the Y-3 Qasa Hi will always be big brother. Similar to musical bros Jay Z and Kanye West and the song of the same name, the elder brother remains at the top of the hierarchy, in this case regarding both aesthetics and price point, respectively. The Y-3 Qasa Hi gets a slight makeover today thanks to the addition of a “Cream Sole.” Surely a subtle move, yet the distinction is noted as a contrast to the stark black upper, which also sees light-colored eyelets and corresponding rear branding. The sole unit adds another foundational layer to the avant-garde design that fittingly remains a style inspiration for many silhouettes in the Three Stripes library.
