Nike’s continuous need to transform classic pairs of the Nike Dunk High into lowtops continues with the return of the classic 2008 rendition of the Nike Dunk “Ueno”. Slated for a March 15th release overseas, the collaboration with Tokyo’s Ueno zoo in honor of the panda bear Ling Ling sees the upper dressed in a bolstered white suede with black accents to reference one of the zoo’s most famous inhabitants. A unique ‘Ueno’ logo appears on the tongue. Although the pair isn’t of Nike SB origins, the release continues the ongoing trend of taking classic Dunk colorways and appropriating them to low silhouettes for a fresh take.
