In two days, Nike will unleash the Air Max Zero at retail, elongating the legendary legacy of visible Air runners in somewhat of a retrograde direction. Inspired by one of Tinker’s early sketches before the Air Max 1, the Nike Air Max Zero captures all of the revolutionary design concepts that Hatfield scribbled down 29 years ago. The realized version makes one notable change by utilizing the Air Max 1 Ultra outsole, a cored out Phylon piece that encases the Air unit on the heel.
A few days before Air Max Day and the official release, Nike sent over a special package featuring a transparent messenger bag and a shoebox covered in a silver wrap; we excitedly unboxed ’em to reveal the newest Air Max sneaker in the launch colorway. Enjoy these exclusive photos below and let us know if you’ll be picking these up in two days when the shoes officially go on sale on Air Max Day, March 26th.
