Charlotte, North Carolina’s own Black Sheep Skate Shop made noise last year when they intended to release a rather obvious Gucci-inspired Nike SB Dunk High. The pair was eventually scrapped altogether, but the move was bold enough to leave a lingering resonance about the skate shop’s sensibilities. Now they taking aim at another inspiration, Nike’s own Jordan Brand and the infamous Air Jordan 5 “Grape”, a pair that coincided with the a look to match the trendy hometown Hornets’ uniforms. Sure, this Nike SB Dunk High more closely resembles the Black Grapes thanks to a black suede base, but the side panel even features a translucent plastic netting to imitate MJ’s fifth silhouette further.
