New Balance‘s guitar inspiration is one of the more surprising developments in the Bostonian running brand’s recent Spring/Summer 2015 campaign. You would never know the rock and roll inspiration by looking at a pair like the above pictured New Balance 996 given the tonal suede qualities without getting a first glimpse at the unique guitar pick, but we’re not complaining. Here we see the Connoisseur Collection continue with a tonal navy blue hit with a dash of reflective 3M detailing for good measure. The last time we saw this silhouette was another Fender inspiration with the Made In USA “Mint” take, but this time around the ENCAP midsole returns for some added cushion as well as a bolstered mesh toebox to add some ventilation for the warmer months. Check out a better view below and stay tuned for more updates right here on SneakerNews.
