The Asics Gel Lyte V Returns in a New Patriotic Colorway

Asics Gel Lyte V White Blue Red Grey1

The classic 1993 retro runner in the Asics Gel Lyte V has seen a boost in notoriety lately thanks to Diamond Supply and Ronnie Fieg bringing back the infamous ‘Tiffany’ colorway as well as a camouflage rendition doled out by atmos. With July 4th on the horizon, we’ve also witnessed Nike bolster its Sportswear lineup with a plethora of red, white, and blue and now Asics could be getting in on the action with this patriotic Gel Lyte V. The runner dons a pristine white and grey base complete with ventilated mesh on the forefoot and side panels while an array of two different blue shades contrast with a vibrant red. The pastel blue neoprene isn’t a shade you’d find on the US flag, but the outsole looks rather familiar with the white and red stripes. So far this is just a look at samples, and with no release date in sight, you can let us know if these are worthy of arriving at store shelves in the comments section.
