The Nike Air Huarache is finally arriving at retailers in a classic ‘Bred’ aesthetic. Ever since Michael Jordan laced up his classic Air Jordan 1 in 1985, the black and red colorway has been the defacto aesthetic in the world of sneakers. The Huarache opted for a much different route, as the 1991 Tinker Hatfield creation was defined by the kitchy vibrance of the early 90s that included a plethora of neon shades atop the neoprene mesh based model. But the combination of red and black here just seems right. The lining gets hit with a University Red while synthetic overlay and mesh toebox keeps the ominous black palette in line to match that unique Nike Huarache heel construction.
