Whoops. Nike jumped the gun a bit in 2011, when they colored up a Nike LeBron 8 V2 in celebration for King James winning the NBA MVP award—the one Derrick Rose won instead of him. They had to be better safe than sorry if he did win it though, so that’s why this scrapped MVP edition of the LeBron 8 exists. One look at the awesome black and red faded colorway and you’ll agree it’s a shame they never dropped—with or without the MVP branding. Rumored to be produced in three pairs with white Swooshes, and three pairs with black Swooshes, this eBay seller offers a look at both, although the auction is for only a pair with the white Swooshes.
