An NBA team can only pay him so much (until the salary cap widens its belt), so LeBron James reaches his true earning potential buy involving himself with a ton of official sponsorships. That said, LeBron has to be a bit careful when speaking publicly about the products that he gets paid to rock, and a guy with that much on his plate understandably slips up here and there. Some recent instances of these snafus include King James saying he didn’t eat McDonald’s as much anymore for health reasons, but he quickly recuperated by saying he eats the fast food grub daily. Then there was a bit of controversy when he gifted his Cavs teammates Apple Watches, when Samsung, a brand that pays him, has its own variety of wearable timepieces. His reps said the watches were a gift from Beats, which is owned by Apple. Last night on Jimmy Fallon, he and the host were about to play some “Face-ketball” and he mentioned what a fun gift it would be for his kids, who constantly ask for “iPads and iPods”. A quick half-second long fumble and he recovered with “…Samsung tablets and Samsung…everything”. Good save, LeBron! Check out the video below.
