Anthony Davis Doesn’t Have A Sig Shoe Yet, But Here’s What He’s Wearing Now

Do big men sell shoes? It’s often been the theory in the basketball and sneaker world that they don’t. Although some guys like Shaquille O’Neal and Patrick Ewing prove otherwise, the theory has often held true throughout history. Now in the modern NBA, there’s a new premiere big man who many feel is deserving of a signature shoe, especially after signing the richest contract in league history for $145 million for five years with the Pelicans. We’re talking, of course, about Anthony Davis. If he’s that good and worth that much to a team, shouldn’t he be able to sell some sneakers? Until a shoe for “The Brow” is announced, we’ll have to keep wondering what Nike’s plan is for Davis—whether he’ll get a well-deserved signature shoe or be another victim of the “big men don’t sell sneakers” opinion. Until then, we can at least see what Davis is wearing this off-season, the Nike Air Max Audacity, the brand’s new Hyperfuse and Air Max combo that’s perfect for some outdoor summer hoops. Get a look at some upcoming colorways below and let us know if you think Davis is a star bright enough to bring the prestige back to big men.
