Pharrell Hand-Picked All The Artists To Collaborate On The adidas “Artwork” Collection

Pharrell and adidas Originals continue their ongoing partnership with a brand new take on the adidas Superstar. Known collectively as the adidas Supershell Collection, Pharrell handpicked four of his favorite artists to transform the original shell-toe into something representative of his or her respective artwork. What results is an array of prints and patterns hitting one of the most original toe boxes in shoe history. The model’s 35th anniversary has given us countless special editions, but here the original colorways focus on the insole and toe while a premium white or black leather keeps the rest of the shoe as a metaphoric blank canvas in order to hold focus on the artwork. Pharrell created a few cartoonish floral takes himself while also enlisting the likes of MR, Cass Bird, Zaha Hadid, and Todd James. The adidas Superstar “Supershell” Artwork Collection will be available at global adidas retailers on August 7th, 2015.
