The adidas Crazy 8 is switching sports for its next release. The MLS is finally catching on as soccer’s popularity continues to grow in the U.S., so much so that there’s actually a rather heated rivalry on the west coast. The Portland Timbers and Seattle Sounders face off in this upcoming collection, as each squad gets their very own take on what was once Kobe’s signature model for the three stripes. The concept on the Portland Timbers pair in particular is rather strong, thanks to a faux-wooden texture on the midsole and the team’s axe logo in a matching brown on the tongue. Each pair will be available August 15th at select retailers like Finish Line.
