fragment design has had an incredibly busy 2015. Hiroshi Fujiwara’s partnering with Nike has brought us nearly 10 Nike Air Trainer 1 collaborative efforts, an Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG, the bring back of the Nike Sock Dart retro, and plenty other remarkable releases featuring the dual lightning bolt logos. Now Fujiwara’s fragment design imprint is teaming up with another Nike subsidiary in Converse to give us five new takes on the classic Converse CONS CTS. A heavy vintage canvas upper gets a bolstered construction exclusively for skating, as a padded ankle and heel add support. Lunarlon sockliners add a modern cushioning system for supreme comfort. fragment design keeps things rather simple, as three classic colorways don’t call too much attention besides the imprint’s logo on the heel. The standouts here are the metallic silver and metallic gold striping on two white based pairs featuring accents of black for a bold lifestyle take. The fragment design x Converse CONS CTS will release at select retailers on Friday, September 11th for $80.
