Taka Hayashi’s Latest Vans Vault Collection Features Pendleton Wool

Vault By Vans X Taka Hayashi X Pendleton Footwear 1

Taka Hayashi and Vans Vault are back at it this season, with a very appropriate collection for fall featuring world-famous Pendleton wool. For the two-shoe collection, Hayashi was actually able to design his very own pattern for the iconic Pendleton blanket, which is also used in the construction of the TH Slip-On LX and TH Sk8 Huarache LX. Taking a closer look at each model, Hayashi’s Slip-On is one of the most luxurious takes on the classic silhouette ever, featuring the woolen blanket material with saddle leather trim for a moccasin-inspired aesthetic. The Sk8-Hi is re-imagined by Hayashi as the Sk8 Huarache LX, featuring a half leather, half wool upper in a deconstructed build with a laser-etched panel on the heel. No two pairs of shoes within the collection will be alike, due to each swatch of the patterned wool being hand-cut from different areas of the fabric. The Taka Hayashi x Pendleton x Vans Vault collection will be available November 28th at Vault stockists globally.
