The best stories about MJ come from those that were close to him. Rip Hamilton, a Jordan Brand athlete, was actually a teammate of Jordan’s when the retired six-time champion came back to basketball just before his 40th birthday. This pair of game-worn, autographed True Blue 3s were from that era, and Rip Hamilton describes these as his favorite pair of shoes in his collection. That’s quite the statement given Hamilton’s extensive and ever-growing stash of Jays, but the story behind these shoes is what validates his statement. According to Rip, Jordan reluctantly gave him his shoes and autographed them after Hamilton dropped 30 and helped the Wizards win. Can’t put a price on that. Check out the Rip’s full story below.
