For their next cinema-inspired sneaker, Extra Butter turns to the genre of Westerns. Spaghetti Westerns (movies set in the American wild west but actually shot in Italy), specifically, inspire the Diadora Titan II, which connect Extra Butter’s film-loving roots with Diadora’s Italian heritage. The Spaghetti Western theme takes form on the Titan II with the aesthetic and wardrobe seen in films of famous western director Sergio Leone and their stars Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson, and Lee Van Cleef. The very first collab edition of the Titan II, the Italian-made shoe features a mix of premium saddle leather, goatskin hide, chambray, shearling lining, and toes covered in a southwestern poncho weave to represent the typical attire of the gunslingers in the classic films. The Extra Butter x Diadora Titan II “Spaghetti Western” releases in sizes 4-13 in limited quantities at “high noon” (12 PM EST) via shop.extrabutterny.com on January 22nd, followed by an in-store release at both Extra Butter locations on Saturday, January 23rd.
