Nike’s “Hot Lava” Appears On The Tennis Classic Ultra

This spring, two classics of Nike’s tennis history collide: the Tennis Classic sneaker and the iconic “Hot Lava” print. The vintage tennis silhouette goes rock n’ roll with Andre Agassi’s famous motif from the Tech Challenge II, for some creative zest to the usually-plain Tennis Classic. The all-white leather upper with perforated Swooshes looks basic at first, until you spot the flowing lava on the heel panels to kick them up a few notches. As the ‘Ultra’ edition of the Tennis Classic, it also features a modified cored-out sole with added foam and reduced weight, a lá the Air Max 1 Ultra or Air Max 90 Ultra. The “Hot Lava” Tennis Classic Ultra is arriving now at select overseas retailers, and should hit the States soon.
