adidas Skateboarding is bringing back an oft-forgotten skateboarding model, the adidas The Skate, for a special edition release paying homage to legendary skate photographer Skin Phillips. The Skate originally released in 1978 and then saw a retro a decade ago, but has yet to see as premium a release as the “Respect Your Roots” tribute. Once the Editor-In-Chief of TransWorld SKATEboarding, Skin Phillips now works as a Team Manager for adidas Skateboarding. To celebrate the achievement, the brnad will launch a exhibition featuring his work at Los Angeles renowned KNOWN Gallery this Saturday, February 6th.
