adidas Originals‘ resurgence could be tracked all the way back to 2013 with the introduction of the adidas ZX Flux. The silhouette smartly brought back some of the iconic aesthetics found in vintage running models with a unique heel cage and midsole while the simplicity of the upper challenged the likes of Nike’s Roshe Run as a go-to lifestyle model. But since then, the advancement of Primeknit and Boost has left adidas to focus on the likes of the adidas Ultra Boost and the adidas NMD series and both have catapulted the three stripes into the defacto brand for casual wear. It looks like adidas didn’t completely forget about the ZX Flux either, as today we get a look at an NMD-inspired adidas ZX Flux Primeknit in two colorways for Summer 2016. The breathable woven material transforms the vintage inspired casual pair into a slip-on sock while a lifestyle grade suede constructs the heel cage. Available in either a baby blue or black upper, each midsole contrasts in a clean white. What do you think?
