Kevin Durant has a busy off-season ahead of him between a big free agency decision and playing in the upcoming Rio Summer Olympics for Team USA. In honor of the occasion, Nike Basketball has been aggressively pushing the KD 9 – Durant even laced up the yet to be released model throughout the Western Conference Finals before bowing out to the Warriors in 7 games. The first retail release will occur right before USA Basketball convenes for practices with the Nike KD 9 USA on June 27th. One of the major focal points of this shoe has been in the use of Flyknit for the first time ever on Kevin Durant model, and Nike Basketball even reduced the price of the sneaker to $150 USD. As for as the patriotic colorway goes, the shoe matches the overhauled Nike Basketball uniforms. Simple, and no frills, the white upper is accented by University Red and Racer Blue throughout.
