If you know even a little Nike Air Max history, you know the Air Max BW from 1991. You’re also definitely familiar with the original and iconic “Persian Violet” colorway of the “Big Window” sneaker. But only the biggest BW fans may recognize this colorway seen here today: the original “Marina Blue” version, which has actually never retroed in the shoe’s 25 year lifespan—until now. Forgotten by most, the colorway has become a legendary unicorn for many collectors over the years (There’s even a Facebook page dedicated to bringing it back). Now adding to the already big year for the BW, the Marina Blue version has finally returned, complete with the Green Jade and white accents for an accurate OG reproduction.
