Kevin Durant‘s decision to sign with the Golden State Warriors was a mic drop of a moment in and of itself, as the 73-win team was a title favorite even before signing one of the best players in the world. Nike Basketball has already released a preview of some Nike KD 9 “Warriors” PEs and this weekend will see the release of the Nike KD 9 “Mic Drop”. KD has long-since been a hip-hop head – how do you think the beef with Lil B started? He’s proclaimed that Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 2 of all albums as his favorite in the past and even has a home recording studio. And while we’d love to hear some Durant verses outside of the short-lived Velvet Hoop alter ego, we’ll just have to wait and see. The Mic Drop KD 9 features a simple black and white Flyknit upper to nod at the audio equipment in his home studio for a simple, refined colorway perfect for off-the-court casual wear. Check out more photos below and while it will be available this Saturday, July 9th, you can already look for the pair right now on eBay.
