Over thirty years ago, Nike unleashed the Air Jordan 1 to the world, much to the chagrin of the NBA. The shoes didn’t fit official guidelines thanks to a daring black/red colorway that MJ himself described as the colors of the devil. The league fined MJ, a tab that Nike gladly took care of, and the rest is history. This short video serves as MJ’s personal reflection of the historic “banned” Air Jordan 1 as well as a precursor to the Jordan 31 debut tomorrow, so check out the short clip ahead and stay tuned for tomorrow’s big reveal.
