adidas Y-3 has been quietly bolstering its footwear lineup with a number of the three stripe’s latest technological endeavors from Primeknit additions to full-length Boost outsole units. We’re happy to see the return of the adidas Y-3 Yohji Boost, one the Yohji Yamamoto’s most accessible creations thanks to a simple slip-on construction complete with a split-tongue, familiar three stripe branding and a bold heel complete with the Y-3 logo.
The Y-3 imprint does best when that high-fashion instinct takes over and a simple black drapes the head-turning silhouettes like the Qasa and Kohna. The latest Yohji Boost mirrors that sentiment with a matching “Core Black” colorway of its own, but with minor reflective elements on the three stripe side panel branding for an effective deviation from the norm.
