A Completely New Style Of The Air Jordan 1 Is Revealed

Air Jordan 1 Retro Max Orange Black 1

A few seasons back Jordan Brand started introducing the iconic Air Jordan 1 in an entirely new style – the original ‘Wings’ logo on the ankle collar that had been such a defining feature for Mike’s first signature silhouette was ditched entirely for an ‘Air Jordan’ callout instead. The “Rare Air” Collection was created to pay homage to some early samples of the Jordan 1 that featured the ‘Air Jordan’ branding on the ankle collar. Today we get a look at a new near-Chicago like colorway that includes another interesting detail – ‘Nike Air’ branding on the heel.

A premium tumbled leather returns to the ankle collar and red panels throughout while touches of white and black contrast on the side panels and toe. The Bright Crimson shade here is a bit brighter than the traditional Varsity Red hue. And while Jumpman branding helps define the tongue, there’s a random Nike Air heel logo for good measure to add to the head-scratching branding found throughout this strange pair.

What do you think of this “Chicago” like colorway on the Air Jordan 1, but without the iconic ‘Wings’ logo? Check out a full view after the break and be sure to stay updated on the latest Air Jordan release dates right here on Sneaker News.
