The Sequel To The Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” Drops Tomorrow

Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Release Reminder 1

This weekend, Jordan Brand will be releasing another retro inspired by Michael Jordan’s ‘For The Love of the Game’ clause that allowed him to play basketball wherever and whenever he wanted to. In the off-season after his rookie season, Nike took MJ overseas to Italy to showcase one of the NBA’s youngest and brightest stars, and Jordan didn’t disappoint, famously soaring through the air for a high-flying dunk only to shatter the backboard. After a well-received Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” released last year, the Jumpman altered the colorway a little for the Air Jordan 1 “Reverse Shattered Backboard” slated to release this Saturday, October 8th.

The Reverse Shattered Backboard Jordan 1 features an off-white Sail base for a vintage effect while Starfish orange panels create a near “Chicago” aesthetic. The leather quality was one of the attention-grabbing assets of the first pair, so we’re excited to see if Jordan Brand outdid themselves with the follow-up. A unique shattered backboard graphic hits the insole for a nice added touch. Check out more photos of the Reverse Shattered Backboard Jordan 1 below and grab your pair tomorrow via Nikestore.
