Boston-based Concepts is digging deep into Reebok’s collaborative archives for their latest take on the iconic Reebok Instapump Fury retro running model from the 1990s. The silhouette has long-since been the perfect canvas for brands looking to revamp the strange and head-turning model, and back in the mid-2000s, the retro even got a chance to link up with luxury fashion imprint Chanel. What resulted was two different pairs utilizing premium textiles like black lambskin and reflective detailing. The oft-forgotten pairs didn’t go unnoticed by Concepts, as they’re reviving each aesthetic for the upcoming Concepts x Reebok Instapump Fury “CC Pack” inspired by Chanel’s unique interpretation of the iconic 90s creation.
The side-by-side comparison proves a coinciding aesthetic between the two lighter colored pairs. Earlier today we caught a first glimpse at the other Chanel-inspired Reebok Instapump Fury in all-black, also slated for a release date this Saturday, December 17th. Here the Instapump Fury dons a premium molded leathe rlining and toebox to contrast the neoprene construction throughout. Metallic Silver accents and reflective Concepts branding hit throughout while an updated ‘CC’ logo could be mistaken for the Chanel’s back-to-back sign.
