It’s January, and that means the annual barrage of Chinese New Year themed kicks are beginning to hit the shelves. By now you’ve seen Jordan Brand’s offerings, and adidas impressed with the colorful Chinese New Year Ultra Boost. It looks like that isn’t all the Three Stripes have up their sleeves for The Year of the Rooster, as today images have surfaced of an upcoming EQT Support 96/16 in its own festive makeover.
The shoe that combines the upper of the classic EQT Support 93 with the comfort of the Ultra Boost sole is featured with a creamy off-white tonal upper with the TPU support shank in green, while special graphic insoles and a rooster hangtag are added to celebrate the Chinese New Year. It appears that at least select pairs will be contained in a special wooden box. No exact release date has been announced yet, so stay tuned to Sneaker News for further updates.
