Is Nike Releasing A Re-modeled Air Max 1 For Air Max Day?

Air Max Day will enter its fourth celebration this March 26th, and fans of the gas-inflated cushioning system are on the edge of their seats in anticipation of what’s to come. It’s confirmed that the “Elephant” version of the Air Max 1 is returning (albeit not confirmed if it will only drop alongside the Air Jordan 3 as part of the “atmos Pack”), and there’s some speculation that the Vapormax is releasing on Air Max Day as well (latest reports note a June 20th release date).

According to this blogpost by Size?, the shop’s staff notes “the prospect of a re-modeled toe box for the Air Max 1” for an Air Max Day debut. Nike hasn’t been shy with re-mixing the first-ever visible Air sneaker in history, but it’s never gone beyond a basic swapping of materials midsoles.
