Stadium Goods showcases the rich history of one of the most beloved Air Jordans ever with a Modern Day Guide to the Air Jordan 13. New York’s favorite new sneaker shop presents their new feature on the thirteenth Air Jordan by photographing a few of the most celebrated colorways, including four OG looks and two of the most coveted retro versions of the panther-inspired silhouette ever. See the story of each of the six famous Air Jordan 13’s below, and visit the Stadium Goods Journal for a look at even more colorways of the shoe.

Air Jordan 13 White/True Red/Black

The debut colorway of the Air Jordan 13 that released in 1997, the original white, black, and red Air Jordan 13 is no doubt one of the most iconic looks for the shoe. In addition to being worn on court by Michael during the 1997-98 season, the colorway earned a place in film history, as well, after being featured in Spike Lee’s landmark basketball film He Got Game. The pair pictured here is from the Countdown Pack of 2008.

The original “Home” colorway of the Air Jordan 13 was also worn by Michael throughout his final season with the Bulls, and is the most recent OG colorway to retro after dropping again this February.

Like any Air Jordan model from the Bulls era, there had to be a black and red version of the Air Jordan 13, and these definitely didn’t disappoint. Featuring red suede details and a reflective-backed mesh paneling on the upper, these are a favorite OG colorway of many when it comes to the Air Jordan 13.

Air Jordan 13 “Flint”

The lone OG colorway of the Air Jordan 13 not in a Bulls color scheme (unless you’re counting the Lows), the “Flint” Air Jordan 13 didn’t need to be worn by Michael on court to still become a popular look. After originally dropping in ’98, Jordan fans had to wait until 2010 for their next chance at the much-loved colorway, which is the release we see pictured here. They’re finally releasing again later this year.

Air Jordan 13 Ray Allen PE

Ray Allen has had countless amazing Air Jordan PE’s throughout his career ever since he played for the Bucks, but collectors finally got their chance at a pair at retail in 2008 with the release of his Air Jordan 13 PE in white and Celtics green. They were incredibly limited, but you still had a better chance at owning a pair than most of his PE’s.

Air Jordan 13 Premio “BIN 23”

In 2008 Jordan Brand introduced the Bin 23 collection of ultra premium renditions of retro models in new colorways and materials. Easily one of the best releases from the series (that many Jordan collectors wished would have lasted a little longer) was the Air Jordan 13. Limited to only 1,734 pairs worldwide, the shoe featured a white leather base with Team Red nubuck and Desert Clay suede accents, and a wax stamp “Bin 23” graphic on each tongue. Premium, indeed.
