NikeLab is celebrating the brand’s running strides with the Breaking2 initiative, an effort to train the world’s top runners to finally run a sub-2 hour marathon time, with the first retail release of the Nike Zoom Fly SP on June 8th at select NikeLab retail locations. The model was created to represent early prototypes in the Breaking2 footwear lineup with added design elements indicating just how the shoe was developed. The upper is semi-translucent with a stretchy woven construction that’s lightweight and breathable and even comes equipped with original design sketches on the insole. Lunarlon foam comprises the midsole while a full-length nylon plate increases stiffness for a more protective ride. The inner tongue sports Nike Running icons like the Swoosh Pinwheel logo, the Nike Speed Track logo, and a digital clock graphic. Check out NikeLab’s nod to the Breaking2 program below and grab your pair on June 8th.
