A video from the OKC Thunder Facebook page recently went viral when newly acquired Paul George greeted a mob of fans upon his arrival right off the plane. Today, we get a first official look at the superstar Small Forward in his new threads as well as the Nike PG 1 signature shoe in the yet-to-release Nike PG 1 colorway.
In one season since Kevin Durant left for the Bay Area’s Golden State Warriors, the OKC Thunder franchise has managed to produce another MVP campaign in Russell Westbrook while re-uniting him with a superstar teammate; Paul George’s game isn’t quite at KD’s level, but he is certainly a suitable running mate to the MVP. His signature shoe, the Nike PG 1, has drawn plenty of comparisons to Kevin Durant’s Nike KD 4 for its price-point and aesthetic, and now the similarities will be even greater now that PG has essentially filled in the void left by Kevin Durant.
