adidas Hoops has some serious excitement brewing with the debut of the adidas Crazy Explosive 17 later this month. The model reminds us a bit of the Hyperdunk 2016 Elite thanks to a high-arching sock-like ankle collar and a woven construction throughout, but with the benefit of full-length Boost cushioning and a stylish semi-translucent TPU roll cage. It looks like not all of the Crazy Explosive 17 pairs will utilize Primeknit though, as this upcoming Classic Royal colorway debuts a honeycomb mesh textile with a traditional ankle collar and tongue. The pair has a relatively Kansas vibe complete with Metallic Silver three stripe branding and some Collegiate Navy touches on the tongue and midsole. What do you think of the more traditional material structure on this pair? Stay tuned for a coming release date on this Primeknit-less Crazy Explosive, but know that the adidas Crazy Explosive 2017 Primeknit debuts July 27th at select retailers.
