A Detailed Look At The Air Jordan 1 Flyknit “Banned”

A Detailed Look At The Air Jordan 1 Flyknit “Banned”

Jordan 1 Banned Flyknit Detailed Look 01

Updated on August 17th, 2017: The Air Jordan 1 Flyknit “Banned” releases on September 9th, 2017 for $180.

There’s nothing quite like the Jordan 1 “Banned”. In fact, it may just be the most important sneaker in the history of athletic wear given the industry that it helped create and the man that wore them. Jordan Brand is trying something new with the Jordan 1 Flyknit though, taking the 1985 icon and revamping it with woven Flyknit tooling throughout in the classic combination of black and red that was subsequently banned from the NBA and gave Nike and MJ even more of a platform to sell shoes.

The Jordan 1 Flyknit Banned proves to be rather premium too thanks to additional leather tongue tags with a unique 1985 logo on the inner lining. The ‘Wings’ logo also gets an all-red treatment in leather while a traditional midsole adds some weight to the lighter rendition of the Banned 1s. This pair will be available September 9th for $180 USD.
