A New Air Jordan 6 “Gatorade” Sample With Translucent Soles Appears

Jordan 6 Gatorade Green Suede
Update: The Air Jordan 6 “Gatorade” in green suede releases on December 30th, 2017 for $225.

Among the most memorable marketing slogans in history is Gatorade’s “Be Like Mike”, an inspirational call to action that galvanized a hoops movement across the nation. As children everywhere were hitting the courts, working on their games, and guzzling Citrus Cooler, Gatorade’s stock continued to rise as the sports energy drink business was booming. The slogan eventually inspired a movie starring Lil’ Bow Wow, who gained incredible basketball ability when wearing a pair of sneakers that were believed to have been worn by MJ himself.

Later this season, Jordan Brand is recalling that ad campaign with a collection of footwear and apparel inspired by the Gatorade brand’s color. At first, a green suede version with orange hints surfaced, but it was later revealed that an alternate version with Carmine-esque color-blocking would be the final cut that would hit stores. However, rumor has it that the first green suede sample, one that Macklemore alleged to have created first, is indeed releasing as well as a limited “quickstrike” offering with a translucent sole. Do you prefer this green suede version? The Air Jordan 6 “Gatorade” in white/orange/green is scheduled for a release on October 28th, so this rumored release of the green suede version could happen around that date.
