Canadian sneaker shop Off The Hook links up with Puma for a special collaboration on the Clyde this fall, inspired by the 1990’s nightclub scene in their hometown of Montreal. Recalling the days of when clubs had dress codes that usually excluded sneakers, the shoe features a subtle, dressed-up look that could be mistaken for a dress shoe and pass the “eyeball test” of the front door staff when entering a club. The Clyde is built in premium perforated suede in tonal navy blue from top to bottom, with a 3M reflective layer underneath to reference the strobe lights popular in dance clubs. Other special details include a leather inner lining, no Puma gold foil branding above the formstripe for a cleaner look, and an added heel pull tab with reflective striping.
The OTH x Puma Clyde “Dress Code” launches in-store at both Off The Hook locations in Montreal and their online shop on October 14th, followed by a wider release at select Puma retailers on October 21st. Pricing is set at $140 CAD.
