Lebron 15 Design Sketch

When considering the exclusive group of footwear designers that have truly shaped the entire industry and culture surrounding the craze for sneakers, Jason Petrie certainly belongs. As the lead designer behind LeBron James’ Nike footwear since the Air Max LeBron VII in 2009, Petrie has gone on to produce some earth-shattering basketball footwear that, for a stretch of time, were the most coveted on the planet on the lifestyle front. Despite the changing trends of footwear fashion, Nike and Jason Petrie hasn’t relented in delivering some of the most innovative yet purposeful basketball footwear on the market. The LeBron 15 certainly extends that streak with a package that boasts a new Zoom/Max combo Air unit and a Flyknit upper engineered specifically for LeBron’s game.

Nike News just released an in-depth interview with the designer, revealing the full design process, working with one of the most powerful pro-athletes in the world, and the rich stories behind the debut colorways. Read up and stay tuned for our own interview with Petrie coming soon.

The Nike LeBron 15 debuts tomorrow, October 17th in the “Ghost” colorway for $185.
